There is always good bonding relationships made in the pentathlon event!
And that was truly the case with the Newton South Boys at the Team Pentathlon Meet
held at the Reggie Lewis Center on Dec.29. Team Co-Captains David Melly and Jeffrey Alkins
along with Jung Park, Andrew O'Hagan, and Brandon Caldwell all contributed their best efforts
in their single event to a 4th place team pentathlon victory. These guys were willing to make
sacrifices by trading events with each other if it came down to it to get their team the best results.
At this meet, It was a memorable moment to watch while they awaited for the final teams' results.
A camaraderie of a stronger team bond was clearly witnessed with their reminiscing laughter about their
event experiences.
