The DCL championships were held today but I couldn't be there.
News flash. Ryan Kim puts the shot 57' - 9"!
That is definitely a Newton South record.
The top 50 Massachusetts list for this season as of 1 Feb. has Eric Beckwith from North Attleboro HS with a leading put of 59'-1.25". Second was Colin Hoey from Lowell HS with 56'-0.25". Ryan might have taken over that spot depending on what else has happened since 1 Feb.
Ryan is listed as 23rd in the nation for this season.
And, while we're at it, senior Jung Park ran 7.53 in the 55 hurdles for the TOP time in the state and New England for this season. He is also listed as 16th in the nation.
