A few years ago the NS pole vault record was 13'-1" by my 1967 team mate, Jay King. Ross McDonald shattered that record and presently holds the allstate meet MA record at 15'-0" from last year (and tied again this year). Soph Ben Eisenberg is carrying on the NS PV tradition.
The boys 4x400 did a very impressive 3:25 with all underclassmen. I can't wait to watch them next year. They are only about 1/2 second off the school record.
Special congratulations to the Newton North girls team which won the all-state championship. There were 76 teams which scored points. There are 377 high schools which can take part in this meet.
