I took a lot of photos of the 4x800 because I couldn't believe that the meet officials decided to run it as one heat with about 18 teams. The start was bad but nothing compared with the next two passes. Runners finishing and slowing in mass completely blocked many of the next teams. Multiple people were strongly pushed. It was amazing not one fell - probably because you'd only fall against the next runner inches over. St. Johns had a fast 1st 2 legs staying clear of the fray. Good move. The 1st half dozen teams had clear passes. There are another dozen photos from this race. Too many to post.
The Newton South 4x800 are all sophomores.
