Steve McChesney reports that the Weston Twilight meet 2 mile will be stacked. Entered are Newton South's own Bridget Dahlberg, Newton North's Jesse Barton, Dennis Yarmouth's Colleen Wetherbee, and Bromfield's Emily Jones. These are arguably the state's fastest distance runners. Emily Jones ran a solo 10:38, 2 miles indoors this year. Colleen Wetherbee ran a 4:52 indoor mile at the 2006 Milrose Games girl's high school invitional event - good for 2nd place behind Danielle Tauro's 4:51 and she ran 10:46 at this year's indoor championship. Jesse Barton has run sub 11:00 and sub 5:00.

Boys: final dual meet result: Newton South 74 Lincoln Sudbury 71
At the completion of the Newton South - Lincoln-Sudbury - Westford Academy polevault at Newton South Monday afternoon, NS takes 1st and 2nd places for boys to win the dual meet aginst LS by 3 points. Freshman, Ross McDonald jumps 12'-0" and Roy Ribitzky jumped 11'-0". The boys team is undefeated so far. The girls are 3-1. The pole vault was postponed until today because of rain last Wednesday.
